How to win the war on the mind
Last Friday night I preached and God showed up in power breaking free people from anxiety, depression, and addiction. As I prepared the messaged I heard the Lord say,
"Stand firm and be ready to fight. I have equipped you and will equip you for the battles ahead, not just the battle of the mind, but to see my kingdom advance in and through your lives. Come be still before me. Come wait patiently in my presence to seek my counsel and wisdom. Come hear my heart over the matters to tend to and for my instruction for your success. I have come to give life abundantly so seek me in how to establish that as you walk with me day by day. I go with you and I go before. If you seek my face and my instruction for the days ahead it will go well for you. I am faithful to my promises and my word does not come back void. So be ready to declare my word forth and walk boldly in the days ahead in triumph. Be still my children and wait patiently in me."
I taught on that we are currently living in a time of spiritual warfare, and it's crucial for us to rise up and fight for God's kingdom. Drawing inspiration from scriptures like Matthew 16:18-19 and Isaiah 61, I emphasized the importance of overcoming the gates of Hell and setting captives free. I truly believe that God wants our lands and lives to flourish with love and joy. To do this, we must first transform our own atmosphere of faith. We need to equip ourselves with spiritual armor and weapons, and cultivate a deeper relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. It's not enough to remain passive sheep; we are called to grow into the lions God has destined us to be, releasing the sound of Heaven in our lives.
We also need to renew our minds to align with God's will, as outlined in Romans 12 and 2 Corinthians 10. Let us offer ourselves as living sacrifices, not conforming to the patterns of this world, but being transformed by the renewal of their minds. This transformation, I believe, is key to discerning God's good, pleasing, and perfect will. By taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ, we can demolish any strongholds that oppose the knowledge of God. In doing so, we can change the spiritual atmosphere around us, creating a landing strip for God's presence to manifest in our lives and communities.
God has given us practical tools and spiritual weapons for overcoming spiritual battles, emphasizing the power of the blood of Jesus, the strength of personal testimony, and the willingness to sacrifice for Christ. Drawing from scriptures like Revelation 12:10-11 and Philippians 3:7-9, we can proclaim the blood of Jesus over their lives and confidently enter God's presence, declaring our redemption. Declaring our testimony releases the faith and power as a means to break the enemy's deception and accusation. Let us remain obedient and trust in God's provision, even when facing threats or sacrifices, affirming that Jesus is worth every cost.
God spoke to me through Isaiah 40:29-31 and 41:10-16 as prophetic picture of what He was doing for everyone in the room. The thoughts and the lies the enemy was throwing and tormenting others with would be no more and this war would cease as believers were made into sharp new threshing instruments to throw any mountain of sin, strongholds, or lies into the seas so they could move forth into the promises and purposes of God. I encouraged them to wait upon the Lord to be strengthened and made one with Him to go forth victoriously.
I pray too that you wait in the Presence of the Lord, that His fresh anointing is released to break every yoke, and you rise up in the power of His blood and testimony of Jesus Christ in your life and His Word and Mind over your life to see breakthrough, deliverance, and freedom to step into the fullness of His Promises as every mountain, lie, and obstacle is removed in Jesus’ name.
